As you advance further into Wasteland 3 and complete The Psychopath mission, Angela Deth will call you regarding Liberty Buchanan’s location. All Rangers at Ranger HQ and friendly characters will help defend against the Scar Collectors.īefore getting more information regarding Liberty’s location, you’ll have to visit the Ranger HQ and meet her agent.ĭuring your meeting with the Deth’s agent, you’ll be attacked by the Scar Collectors. You can also operate the Kodiak to help deal with these enemies more easily. Be careful of certain enemies using Cyborg Tech abilities that can pack a punch. Once you’ve finished your conversation with Deth’s agent at Ranger HQ, you’ll learn that Deth is at The Hoon Homestead. She’s waiting inside the Hoon family house up ahead when you enter the area. There’s a First Aid (3) dialogue option where you can offer her meds for her facial scarring, but she says she’s okay. Instead, she’ll give you 5 Medic Packs in response.
After talking a little bit longer, the Scar Collectors will attack again.
Now that you’ve made a decision with Deth, you have to go find Liberty Buchanan in Yuma County. You can find this location near the southeastern area of the world map. However, you’ll need the Dominator Chassis on the Kodiak to survive this trip. The Eastern Plains region has the strongest radiation in Colorado.Īs you get closer to Yuma County, a man named The Mechanic will call you over the radio. He’ll ask that you see him at his garage in Yuma County before going after Liberty. Upon entering Yuma County, you’ll immediately get pulled into a conversation with The Mechanic in his garage. This will start the Sand in the Gastank primary mission that coincides with The Traitor. Also, you’ll receive two other secondary missions that are needed to complete Sand in the Gastank. While these missions appear to be optional, they make a significant difference in going after Liberty. Whether you chose to complete Sand in the Gastank or not, you’ll have to storm Liberty’s compound now. If you completed Sand in the Gastank, you’ll only have to fight two groups of Dorseys and some strong turrets. If you’re struggling to fight the Dorseys, try to use the demo derby arena (car demolition) area for cover. The arena is out of reach for some Dorseys and will draw out a couple of melee enemies too. You can especially take advantage of sniper Rangers and rocket launchers here. The extended long-range will help with firing a round or two and then hiding again. Otherwise, you can try to attack from the Slave Pen side entrance, but you get bottlenecked here.
